Chimwemwe Undi is a poet living and writing on Treaty 1 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her writing is grounded in storytelling and spoken word traditions, and has been featured at Canadian Festival of Spoken Word and the Edinburgh International Book Festival, in Brick, Border Crossings and Canadian Literature, and on CBC Manitoba and BBC World. Chim received the 2022 John Hirsch Emerging Manitoba Writer Award from the Manitoba Book Awards and was named as one of CBC Manitoba’s 2020 Future 40. She is a lawyer, poetry editor with CV2 Magazine, and a proud board member with Poetry In Voice/Les voix de la poésie.
