Sean has worked with literary arts organizations across the country, including BC Arts Council, Access Copyright, and Theytus Books. He served on the Steering Committee for the National Forum on the Literary Arts, a public consultation hosted by the Canada Council for the Arts that helped to create the framework for the thing that we know as The Portal.
Sean was the Executive Director of the BC Yukon Book Prizes from 2019 to 2021. During this time he helped to introduce two new literary cash prizes for authors, including the Borealis Prize: The Commissioner of Yukon Prize for Literary Contribution and the Jim Deva Prize for Writing That Provokes.
Sean’s projects from the before-times include Books on the Radio, The Strike Sessions, as well as his time as General Manager of the beautiful monstrosities that were the Storm Crow Alehouse and Tavern (RIP). Find out more at seancranbury.com.
